Question Information for memory usage and 'cached'

Hello guys,

take for example the following in server information for memory usage:

total: 62.94 GB used: 62.50 GB free: 454.91 MB Cached: 50.68 GB Usage: 16.38%

2 questions:

Why is it just 16.38% usage when it says 62.50 GB used? And what does cached mean?
