• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

InnoDB table types for MySQL with Plesk 7.5.2

Hi folks,

I have searched this forum but I could not find a solution for my problem:

I am running Plesk 7.5.2 on Suse9.1 with MySQL 4.0.18-32.9. I have MySQL 4.1 on another (older) system and I need to migrate everything to the new system. On this new system I need to enable InnoDB table types. After modifying the my.cnf as desribed I tried to restart MySQL running mysqld which results in

mysql: ERROR: unknown variable 'innodb_data_home_dir = /var/lib/mysql'

Can anyone please help? I am not a linux pro and I do not know what to do now. MySQL is pretty useless to me without InnoDB table types.

Any help is truly appreciated

Jan
