• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

Question Install Etherpad Lite without a port in the domain?

xdaniel

New Pleskian
Server operating system version
Ubuntu 18.04
Plesk version and microupdate number
Obsidian latest
Hello,

maybe someone here can help. I installed etherpad on my vhost in plesk. It's running on port 9001 (etherpad.mydomain.de:9001).

Some of the people I want to work with, can't access this port. I think their firewall blocks it.

Is there a way to change it (Port 80 or so) and get the domain running without it?

I would be very happy, if someone could help me. I'm not a coder ... Just an older user.

Best, Daniel

Hello @IgorG,
thanks for your reply. This seems to be very old. The files do not exist. I found some more documentations, which say, that I have to change the nginx-server, for example this (Step 6):

But they were all different from Plesk, so I hoped to find an answer here :)
Best, Daniel
