• Please be aware: Kaspersky Anti-Virus has been deprecated
With the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.64, "Kaspersky Anti-Virus for Servers" will be automatically removed from the servers it is installed on. We recommend that you migrate to Sophos Anti-Virus for Servers.
  • The Horde webmail has been deprecated. Its complete removal is scheduled for April 2025. For details and recommended actions, see the Feature and Deprecation Plan.
  • We’re working on enhancing the Monitoring feature in Plesk, and we could really use your expertise! If you’re open to sharing your experiences with server and website monitoring or providing feedback, we’d love to have a one-hour online meeting with you.

Question install on different port other than 8443

josephgodwinke

New Pleskian
Server operating system version
Ubuntu 18.04
Plesk version and microupdate number
18.0.42
how can I install PLESK on different port other than 8443

If you goal is to simply access Plesk on a custom URL not using port 8443, than have a look at this article: https://support.plesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/213945625-How-to-customize-Plesk-URL

If you actually want to change port, then have a look at this article: https://support.plesk.com/hc/en-us/...e-the-ports-for-the-Plesk-interface-on-Linux-

But from the comments it looks like custom ports are reset after each Plesk update.

I want to run Apache Tomcat which normally runs on port 8443 for ssl encrypted. Which port does tomcat run on? Cannot see it here - Ports Used by Plesk

As far as I remember, support for Apache Tomcat is dropped since Plesk Onyx 17.8.

If I'm not mistaken, after upgrade to Plesk Onyx 17.8 or Obsidian, Apache Tomcat will be unavailable for installing and configuring via Plesk interface. However, Tomcat will continue working, and Tomcat websites and applications will be reachable but on port 9080 only.
