Have you tried the resolution as described anyway? Cause it also says "In some cases may be caused by customized "apparmor" configuration.", I am not sure whether they mean "in addition to a bug that we built into the software" or "that is the bug and here is a workaround until #12 is out". See user comment's below the FAQ entry, too.

After a restart of the server I suddenly had this problem.
I only needed to move the file /etc/apparmor.d/usr.lib.dovecot.dovecot-lda.orig out of /etc/apparmor.d, do the parser and then /etc/init.d/apparmor restart

Why is this only fixed in 17.5?
I'm still running 17.0.17

To be honest I don't know why I'm not getting a proposition from the panel to update to 17.5

Plesk 17.5.3 is in early adopter stage. If you have update settings set at general release or late adopter you won't get a notification.

But be warned: early adopter is just what the label says: "an early release" and thus potential buggy, not really for use on production servers. Plesk recommends "General release" for production servers.

Jan

Thanks for setting that straight.
I was under the impression that it recently (2 or 3 weeks) came out of that stage and went in general release.

With your info, I think that it came out of beta into early adopter.
I'm quite comfortable with the "general release" setting. I'm currently in a stage where I installed new servers and are migrating accounts from 2 servers to 1.
