• Please be aware: Kaspersky Anti-Virus has been deprecated
With the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.64, "Kaspersky Anti-Virus for Servers" will be automatically removed from the servers it is installed on. We recommend that you migrate to Sophos Anti-Virus for Servers.
  • The Horde webmail has been deprecated. Its complete removal is scheduled for April 2025. For details and recommended actions, see the Feature and Deprecation Plan.

Question IP Access Restriction Management

wgn

New Pleskian
Hi,

In my modem settings I use no-ip because I have a dynamic IP address. If I want to use IP Access Restriction Management in Plesk do I have to configure anything or is adding only my ip address sufficient?

Thanks,

If you are using a dynamic IP address, it is a bad idea to restrict access to Plesk to a specific address or a range. Once your provider assigns an address that is not within the defined range, you won't be able to log in to Plesk any longer.

Thanks Peter,

Then I'd better not use this feature. Or is there a way to make use of a dynamic IP address?
