• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

Is it OK to install APC on Plesk?

I run vBulletin, and one of their techs recommended I not run Ioncube, and run APC instead.

I asked my server company and they mentioned that:

1) They recommend that I find an RPM of APC, if they want me to install it.

2) It might not be wise to remove Ioncube as it could cause issues with the Plesk CP.

I heard that IonCube is only used for SiteBuilder in Plesk -- something I don't use.

My question is, who is running APC on a Plesk (with Virtuozzo)? Did you remove IonCube? Did that cause any issues? Was it worth it? Did you build APC or grab a RPM? (If you used an RPM, do you have the link handy?)

Thanks for any help on this!
