I just had a look thru some config files for plesk (mainly the httpd stuff) and found that it loads about 20 modules, of which some can be quite resource intensive.
for example - mod_rewrite is loaded for the plesk interface. it may be me, but I havent seen 1 rewrite rule.
sure, I'm no expert but why would they load something they are not using? it's just eating resources.
think about this - if this happens with every product they preinstall and you clean them out manually, you could probably get quite a bit more performance.
thoughts?
