Question Is there a way to block already known abusive IP before they can reach the server?

Zuccar

New Pleskian
Server operating system version
Ubuntu 22.04
Plesk version and microupdate number
18.0.66
Is there a way to block already known abusive IPs before they reach the server?

What kind of methods do you use?

We have crowdsec. And CAPI which blocks roughly 55k IPs.
We also blocked two countries and other IP CIDR ranges with the plesk Firewall rules.

Is there a possibility to block all those abusive IP with the help of abusiveIPDB or fireHOL?

Thanks for any help and suggestions or experienced share

I don't use it, but maybe Cloudflare is an option for you. Or maybe your provider offers a firewall outside of your server. For example the German provider Hetzner allows to set firewall rules which are independent from your server.
