• Hi, Pleskians! We are running a UX testing of our upcoming product intended for server management and monitoring.
We would like to invite you to have a call with us and have some fun checking our prototype. The agenda is pretty simple - we bring new design and some scenarios that you need to walk through and succeed. We will be watching and taking insights for further development of the design.
If you would like to participate, please use this link to book a meeting. We will sent the link to the clickable prototype at the meeting.
  • (Plesk for Windows):
MySQL Connector/ODBC 3.51, 5.1, and 5.3 are no longer shipped with Plesk because they have reached end of life. MariaDB Connector/ODBC 64-bit 3.2.4 is now used instead.
  • The Horde webmail has been deprecated. Its complete removal is scheduled for April 2025. For details and recommended actions, see the Feature and Deprecation Plan.

Issue Issue serving videos in Moodle

New Pleskian
Server operating system version
Ubuntu 22.04
Plesk version and microupdate number
18.0.64 Update #1
I have an issue with very slow serving of videos in Moodle (an LMS).
The forums there suggest this is a server issue, so maybe I can find answers here.

This is a new Moodle installation. Hosted on an IONOS VPS with Ubuntu, Plesk, and Moodle 4.1
We are just developing courses. Everyone is reporting two issues with the H5P Interactive Video plugin:
  1. extended delays loading the video
  2. slider not working, always restarting the video
You can check these issues out for yourself. Click here to visit the CASP website.

Scroll down a bit. The two videos are on the main page

Load time. People are finding that it sometimes takes minutes to load lessons. On other Moodle websites, lessons load in a few seconds.

Slider. For both H5P Interactive Videos, Disable Navigation is set to "None", meaning that the viewer should be able to move the slider to any position. Every time the slider is moved, it restarts the video.

This was posted on the H5P forum, with no recommendations.
Given that everyone is experiencing this, it appears to be a server issue.

Suggestions on what settings to check?

Thx
