  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

TITLE:
Joomla 3.5.7 from the apps repository throws error upon installation while 3.5.6 installation works
PRODUCT, VERSION, OPERATING SYSTEM, ARCHITECTURE:
Different OS (Debian/CentOS), Plesk 17.x, latest MU
PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
When installing Joomla in its latest version 3.5.7 from the apps repository, the installation halts with a PHP error.

"Uncaught Error: Call to a member function get() on null in /var/www/vhosts/<domain.tld>/...../session/handler/joomla.php:71"

See thread
Issue - Can't install CMS on Domain
for more details.

The user describing it in the thread is on 17.0/Debian 8.7. We have seen the same behavior on 17.0/CentOS 7.2. I could reproduce it there several times. I could not reproduce it on a 17.5/CentOS 7.3 test machine.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
Run Joomla 3.5.7 installation from the apps repository.
ACTUAL RESULT:
Error during installation.
EXPECTED RESULT:
Installation works.
ANY ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
A workaround is to first install Joomla 3.5.6 from the apps repository and then use the Plesk built-in "upgrade" function for Joomla to upgrade to 3.5.7. The upgrade works perfectly. It is only the initial installation from the apps repository that fails.
