• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

Question License for sandbox environment?

18.0.71 #2
Hello,

We have 2 servers with Plesk. We want to create a sandbox environment for both servers by creating a copy of the server so we can test various things (adding security headers to Plesk Web Interface pages, upgrading PHP, etc) before we make changes directly to the production servers. Are there special licenses that we need to run Plesk in the sandbox environments or do we need to purchase 2 new licenses?

Please advise.

Thank you!

As far as I know there aren't any special licenses for sandbox or testing environments. If your test servers are only temporary you could request and use a 14 day trail license. But otherwise you'll just need regular licenses for your test servers too.

However if you want to be sure, reach out to Plesk license support.
