Question Looking for a way to show a page when an IP is banned

LJPc

New Pleskian
Hi,

I'm looking for a way to show a website with more information to IPs that are blocked via fail2ban. Because a lot of people are getting blocked via the plesk-wordpress jail and then they start to panic because they think the website is down.

Does anyone know how to display a page instead of just dropping the connection?

Thanks!

The idea behind blocking an ip address is to stop the traffic from that ip. Unfortunately, there is no mechanism where you can block an ip address in the server's firewall (iptables, ip6tables), yet keep processing traffic from that ip.
