• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

Mail Authentication issue

Hi

Every now and then clients phone in and says the outlook is asking them for a username and password. They can ping and telnet to the mailserver but it keeps asking for logon credentials. If I restart the mailserver ,via plesk service monitor, it works again. What can this be?

Any Help would be appreciated.

I am having the very same issue but just with one email account in one domain????

I've deleted the account twice and recreated it. The client logs on and receives mail for a few hours and then it goes back to failing in the log on, both in outlook and in webmail.

If anyone has a clue, please advise.

thanks.
