Mail delivered... not appearing

I have an odd problem.

I have mail being delivered successfully (see log view #1 below) but it does not ever appear in the /var/qmail/mailnames/DOMAIN.COM/USER/Maildir/new directory...

I restarted imap, pop3, smtp, and spamassassin... no dice. I even stopped them all at once and started thim again. Same old.

The odd thing is that some mailboxes work and some don't.

Possible reason(?) I upgraded to 7.5.4 but php 4.3.10 for RH 7.3 is not compiled with cURL... go figure... so I downgraded the php rpms back to 7.5.1 php 4.3.8 rpms (pgsql, imap, mysql, ldap, and php) but I cannot figure out how this could affect qmail... is this a db issue?

By the way, all out-going mail works fine...

OK, and if I delete the mail user name and re-create it, then it receives, er... delivers mail again, however all that mail that was supposadly delivered before the delete / create is gone...

As per this useful thread:

http://forum.plesk.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=27212

I disabled all watchdog services, checked my hard disks... all ok, and disabled MAPS...

Then restarted qmail and smtp... no dice

Then I restarted SpamAssassin... nada

Where the heck are these mails going?

I did an updatedb and then locate 1129154830 (the email I watched get "delivered" in the maillog above)... but there is no such file on the server! That is the email filename is it not?

*scratches head*

# /var/qmail/bin/qmail-qstat
messages in queue: 6
messages in queue but not yet preprocessed: 0

ouch... looks like email is going to /dev/null... or its close cousin...

Where the heck are the .qmail setup files on a PLESK system... like the files that till qmail where the user's queue is, and where the Maildirs are, etc? Maybe something has been deleted in my setup, and I cannot figure out what...

Reply from PLESK tt:

Hello Gabriel,

Please make sure that mailbox is turned on for the domain in the Control
Panel. Then please make sure that maildir is listed in
/var/qmail/mailnames/DOMAIN.COM/USER/.qmail file for this mailname.

You can try to rebuild qmail configuration with following command:

/usr/local/psa/admin/sbin/mchk --with-spam --daemon-mode

Please note that /usr/local/psa/admin/sbin/mchk utility is internal
Plesk utility and it shouldn't be running if everything is going fine.
Also please note that qmail isn't working right at the time of mchk.
It's suggested to turn off qmail services temporary.

So, I did:

#/sbin/service qmail stop
#/usr/local/psa/admin/sbin/mchk //(which took all of about 3/10's of a second)
#/sbin/service qmail start

...and what do you know... all is back to normal... !? wow... the things that aren't in the PLESK docs...
