  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Mail-exchange with other mailprovider secure? (mailserver to mailserver)

Thomas Becker

Basic Pleskian
Hello,
when I'm sending or receiving messages with my mailclient I can use SSL/TSL to secure the communication (mailclient to server).

How does Plesk (Postfix) secure the mailexchange with other mailservers?
How can I check if the communication is secure (mailserver to mailserver)?

Thanks.

Thanks Denis.

I'm a Linux/Unix newbie. I think ther is running Postfix as MTA on my vServer.
In mailheader you can read something about Postfix.

Is it possible to secure the mail-communication between mailservers with the default Plesk certificate?
Because certificates are expensive.

Is there a way to check if the communication is secured?

Thanks.
