Maillog is empty

I have a big qmail problem today... over 2000 emails stuck in the queue. Using queue-repair and qmHandle I am slowly getting these out (though it seems stuck at 1300 now).

I have a question though... why would my maillog be completely empty?

-rw------- 1 root root 0 Oct 29 04:03 maillog.1
-rw------- 1 root root 0 Oct 22 04:03 maillog.2
-rw------- 1 root root 0 Oct 15 04:04 maillog.3
-rw------- 1 root root 0 Oct 8 04:02 maillog.4

You could possibly be looking at the wrong maillog. check /usr/local/psa/var/log for your maillog files.
