  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Mailman unable to send outgoing mail !!

Hi,

On two servers both with Plesk 9, I'm unable to get emails sent by Mailman to outside domains from local mailing lists. All emails are rejected with that error:

(553, "sorry, that domain isn't in my list of allowed rcpthosts (#5.7.1)")

I'm using qmail on both servers. What's wrong ? and how to correct that ?
Reception of emails to the list is ok and fine as they don't bounce and appear in archives of list through web management interface !

For info, regular mailboxes work correctly on these two servers.

Thanks for all in advance

Vincèn

Tough to get help around here...having a similar problem. Good luck, and I'll post back if I find a fix.

Solution: 1. server side:

log to your plesk cp, go to Server>mail, under Relaying choose:

authorization is required
and tick SMTP and POP3

leave the lock time at 20 Min

and then press on SET.

server side part is done.

2. outlook side ( as outlook XP):

open outlook

click on tools > emails accounts

choose 'view or change existing email accounts' and click on next

choose your existing mail server that is having the problem and click on
change

click on more settings

choose Outgoing Server tag

make sure that you tick the following:
My outgoing server (smtp) requires authentication

and

Log into incoming email server before sending email

click on OK
click Next
click Finish
