  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.

Manual Server Reload - Please Advise

We are currently running Plesk 7.0 and MailEnable Professional. I want to reload our server this weekend and would like some advice.

From backup to restore, what procedure should I follow? We backup this server every night with Acronis TrueImage, so should I manually copy the data over once Windows 2003 and Plesk is re-installed? Or should we try to use the backup/restore utility?

Also, what anti-virus software is recommended? I would like something that can integrate with both Plesk and MailEnable. We currently run Norton Antivirus 9.0.

I want to make sure we do this right...any help is appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

If you want to backup data on Plesk 7.0 and restore it on Plesk 7.5 you should use Plesk backup/restore.
As for antivirus I can recommend you to use DrWeb (it is shipped with Plesk)
