  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.

Today, I am seeing a lot of bruteforce attack to my server, and it is ongoing/happening somemore. Hence, to take precaution, I change all the admin password... for Plesk, for OS, for apps...

After that, I realised that the Plesk control panel is dead.. with the error message that connection error to the MS SQL DB.

I am kinda panic, I thought it is finalled being hacked..

After a few ten minutes of troubleshooting, guess what I found? My admin password is too long!! When changing the plesk admin password, it can only accept 14 characters. Anything longer than that will be trancated. Sigh.. what a heart attack.

Anyway, story aside, I wish Plesk will fix this in the next update. Thanks

seems this still is not fixed.

not only it truncates i guess , it doesn't even set the truncated password nor it throws any any error on for client
