Resolved Mediawiki 1.31 ist provided by the latest PLESK Obsidian Release 18.0.59 - it's 6 (!) years old

icetear

New Pleskian
Server operating system version
Ubuntu 22.04
Plesk version and microupdate number
18.0.59
I am trying to find an explanation by myself, but as both a developer and a system administrator I simply cannot.

WHY is PLESK providing a MediaWiki Version that is 6 years old - has several security issues, is out of support and prevents extensions for it to run?

Please enlighten me
Kind regards
Mario

Plesk is aware that the catalog is outdated. Maintaining APS packages requires a great effort. It is resource-intensive. The APS technology itself is outdated. Plesk is currently in the process of replacing the old catalog system with a new extension. For the time being, please take a look at the Softaculous extension, where you can already install many applications from.
