For everyone interested,
Attached are two memcached modules, one for PHP version 5.5.31 and the other for PHP version 5.6.17.
The memcached module for PHP version PHP 5.6.17 is upwards compatible to 5.6.19-dev.
Note that both modules are
- based upon the php-memcached code stack,
- not an official Plesk module (!),
- aligned with OpCache (upwards compatible to Opcache version 7.0.6-dev)
- created relatively quickly, bugs can be present due to code errors in the php-memcached stack,
and any feedback would be welcome!
The modules can be installed by following these steps:
a) upload the ZIP file to a directory on your server
b) run from the command line: echo "extension=<path to directory>/memcached-<version>.so" > /opt/plesk/php/<5.5 or 5.6>/etc/php.d/memcached.ini
Note: do not forget to use the proper path to the directory in which the file memcached-<version>.so resides. You can use any directory to your liking.
c) run from the command line: plesk bin php_handler --reread
Activation or deactivation of the modules can be done via the Plesk Panel.
Hope the above helps.
Regards.....
PS The memcached module for PHP 7.0.x is (only) available on request, since that development branch is not stable (enough) yet.
