    Hi everyone!

I have a question to MFT under Linux. Can it cause problems to rename the root folder ? (the first folder after domainname)
I want to change it from "www.mydomain.com/testdat/" into "www.mydomain.com/products/". Currently there are about 40000 files located in the tree (in several sub folders of course). I could imagine that my sytem crashes if all file names are registed absolutely, requiring Linux to reset the path to each seperate file. Under no circumstances i want to risk data loss.

Well if file paths were recorded relatively, Linux would need to reset the first level subfolders under "testdat" only, pointing them to "products", which wont take much effort imho.

    Can anybody give advise?
