Input migrate courier to dovecot

bradz

Regular Pleskian
Hi, I am about to plesk migrate from 12.5 to onyx on linux.
The 12.5 server is using courier imap.
I am thinking of using dovecot imap on the new onyx server.

Will the Plesk migration tool be able to make the switch?
OR
Should I make the switch a different way?
OR
Should I stay with courier imap, I really have no reason to complain about it.

Thanks for any input!
Brad

Going by this post
Migrate from courier-imap to dovecot in Plesk 12. preserving messages?
It looks like I could switch imap on the active server, then migrate.
Or
Since I prefer to not make changes to the active server, I am thinking I will load courier imap on the new Onyx server, Migrate the domains, Test, Switch onyx server to dovecot imap, and retest before going totally live with new Onyx Server.

Your thoughts are welcome!
Brad
