• The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Migrating clients I purchased to my Plesk server

Hi.

I have purchased some Plesk clients that I need to move to my servers. There are both Linux and Windows clients involved.

What is the easiest way to do move the files, settings, databases, and email accounts?

David

Using Plesk Migration Manager if you have root access to the server they're currently using.

OK, that's what I thought. I am trying to get that access. However the host was using a reseller account so I have to get permission from the server's owner for this. We're hoping to work that out.

Thanks,

David

Without it the migration will be more difficult. If the host is using Plesk 7.5 you will be able to create a backup of each domain via Plesk interface, then restore on your server via shell. Or the current provider may be able to create a psadump of the full reseller account for you which you can restore.
