  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.

Migrating from physical to shared hosting

I am moving all my domains to another server. I used physical hosting (exclusive IP's) for all domains on the old server and I want to use name-based hosting (shared IP) on the new server.

Can I just modify the ip_map to point all exclusive IP's to the shared IP or is there a lot more involved? I want to use psarestore so I can maintain passwords and databases easily from one server to another.

Thanks

In the map files you must to map the shared IPs to shared IPs and exclusive to exclusive. But you can use the script:

/usr/local/psa/bin/reconfigurator.pl

After you restore the dump in order the change the IPs.

So if I don't have the same number of Ip's on the destination server, then I guess I will have to migrate them one at a time then change each domain after I migrate it?

Thanks for the reply btw!
