  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.

Migration and licence key

Hello,

I have a migration of Plesk to do on new server.
But I need to run Plesk on both server for some days to do some tests.
I've obtained a temporary licence key.

I have a question about the licence key because I want to be sure before to do a restore :

On the old server, I have a backup file of my configuration.
(pleskbackup --configuration all)

On the new server, I installed the temporary key.

If I restores my backup file from the old server on the new server,
I will restore in same time my true licence key ?

Or there is no risk to have a conflict with the licence key between the both server
until I reinstalls myself my own licence key on the new server ?

Thanks for your answers,

Regards,

Olivier

you will need to install your old license after the import is complete. You might use the "migration manager" if you have root access as it works really well.
