• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

Missing: Step-by-Step Ruby on Rails & Django HowTo

I've been through the forums and have found pockets of related information, but nothing in a guide that pulls it together and provides specific instructions on how to run a Ruby on Rails web application on a Plesk server.

Like most folks, I'm not interested in running Rails in development mode or an awkward setup like

http://domain.com/rails_app_name/whatever

I want to create a rails site, preferably outside of the httpdocs directory, symlink it, and have it work directly as:

http://domain.com/whatever

SWSoft has yet to supply any documentation and the information listed on the individual frameworks' pages are outdated.

Has anyone successfully figured this out yet? If so, please post in this thread. Thanks.
