  • Support for BIND DNS has been removed from Plesk for Windows due to security and maintenance risks.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS.

Question Modsecurity - Apache or Nginx

Jürgen_T

Regular Pleskian
Server operating system version
Ubuntu 22.04.5 LTS
Plesk version and microupdate number
Plesk Obsidian 18.0.67 Update #3
I’m planning to make a third attempt next week to install ModSecurity under Plesk. During the setup, there’s an option to choose whether ModSecurity should be applied to Nginx or Apache. Since I’m using Nginx as a reverse proxy in front of Apache, it’s unclear which option I should select.

As far as I know you have to use the Apache version if nginx is only used as a reverse proxy. Most definitely the Apache version is not wrong here (I use it myself with the reverse proxy option).
