Question Move cgi-bin location on virtual host to different location?

is it possible to move the cgi-bin location from:
/var/www/vhosts/example.com/httpdocs/cgi-bin/
to
/var/www/vhosts/example.com/httpdocs/subfolder/cgi-bin/

The reason being we are doing a server migration and we want to keep the same structure for the new site due to transparent and scripting.

I guess it should work if you tell Plesk the new location by adding a ScriptAlias:

i added ScriptAlias "/cgi-bin/" "/var/www/vhosts/example.com/httpdocs/subfolder/cgi-bin/"
.. didnt seem to work.

found a work around where we add a .htaccess file in the new folder with this entry
AddHandler cgi-script .cgi .pl
Options +ExecCGI
