mpm_event configuration

moswak

Regular Pleskian
Hi,

on Centos 7 Plesk 12.5 mpm_event is enabled by default.

Why is there no configurationfile in /etc/httpd/conf.d
for prefork there is a mpm_prefork.conf

what are the default values ?

Has anybody an expample default conf ?

Or is switch to mpm_prefork better ?

Event should be the best mpm - it can handle more connections than the
other mpms (separate thread for keepalive connections etc.) and has some
other advantages over the other mpms like smaller memory footprint etc.

For example one of my configurations.

Location: /etc/httpd/conf.modules.d/99-my-mpm.conf

Code:
<IfModule mpm_event_module>
    KeepAlive On
    KeepAliveTimeout 5
    MaxKeepAliveRequests 128

    ServerLimit 10
    StartServers 4
    ThreadLimit 128
    ThreadsPerChild 128
    MinSpareThreads 256
    MaxSpareThreads 512
    MaxRequestWorkers 1280
    MaxConnectionsPerChild 2048
</IfModule>

You'll have to adjust the values to your needs and available resources.
