• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

Hi,

I am trying to upgrade Mysql so i will be able to install VBulletin.

Plesk 7.5.4
VPS host WEBFUSION
OS Fedora Core 2
no YUM installed so i located yum-2.0.7-1.1

Tried to install YUM and get yet another error
libxml2-python is needed by yum-2.0.7-1.1

The process just keeps uncovering more dependencies.

Is there a better way to upgrade - or do i give up demand a refund and find a different host.

Problem being of course - all Plesk VPS hosting providers deploy the same out of the box config.

So the alternative now looks like using CPANEL.

Anybody got any ideas?

Fedora Core v2 is very old and NOT supported any more. Ask for a newer version with Plesk v7.5.4, better yet v8.x. If your host is not willing to do that, either find a different host, or seek professional help.
