MySQL time zone

Hi everyone,

I upgraded from 9.x to 10.x a couple of weeks ago and since then I seem to be having problems with the time zone in my mysql server. Or at least, I think that's the problem.

The system time is correct and synchronized with an NTP server and it comes up ok if I check it on ssh, but for some reason mysql keeps substracting 6 hours. My first thought was that it was somehow stuck on GMT -5 (I'm on GMT +1 myself) but after editing the my.cnf file and adding a timezone=Europe/Madrid, nothing changed once I restarted the service.

Could anyone please give me any ideas or point me in the right direction?

Thank you so much in advance,

Ricardo.
