Resolved mysql_update failed

regisg

Regular Pleskian
Hello,

I'm logged in as admin and when I use this SQL command "mysql_upgrade -uroot -p --force
Enter password:"

I've got this error

"Version check failed. Got the following error when calling the 'mysql' command line client
ERROR 1045 (28000): Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' (using password: YES)
FATAL ERROR: Upgrade failed"

What can I do?

Thank you for kindly replying to me :)

Hi regisg,

pls. be informed, that there is NO root account, when you don't add one. Plesk itself uses the user "admin" as root - replacement.
You command should be:

Code:
mysql_upgrade -u admin -p`cat /etc/psa/.psa.shadow`
OR
Code:
mysql_upgrade -u admin -p`cat /etc/psa/.psa.shadow` --force
