Issue Can't add older database remote server

frame86

New Pleskian
Server operating system version
Ubuntu 24.04
Plesk version and microupdate number
18.0.66
Hello,

if we try to add an older mySQL database server with a user 'plesk' with only TLS 1.1 support (MySQL 5.7.17) we get a either:

ERROR 2026 (HY000): TLS/SSL error: unsupported protocol
(user not forced to use TLS)

or

SQLSTATE[HY000] [1045] Access denied for user 'plesk'@'...' (using password: YES)
(user forced to use TLS)

The second error doesn't mean credentials are wrong but somehow client credentials encryption isn't compatible with server implementation.

If we disable enforcement of TLS on the database user, connection actually works unencrypted on the command line:

mysql --skip-ssl -uplesk -h... -p
Welcome to the MariaDB monitor. Commands end with ; or \g.

So the issue is the TLS encryption (server side).

But there is no option to disable TLS on the plesk panel dialog.

tls.enable
isn't enabled but Plesk automatically uses TLS.

Is there a workaround?
