  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Named/Bind Nightmare

Tsi-Shawn

Basic Pleskian
Hey all,

So i did the latest bind update and it broke named. In the process of fixing it I rm'd a folder or two and all the dns zones for ALL domains went with it. Does anyone have any links or thoughts on how to re-generate all those files back to run-root/var?

Thanks in advance.

Running

Cent 6 / 64 bit
Plesk 11
Latest Bind

Check out

Code:
# /usr/local/psa/bin/dns --help

However, I have found in the past that simple making a DNS change (e.g. soa) can regenerate things.
