• The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Hello,

I got the below named problem after a freshly installed PSA 7.5 on Fedora 3.
Does anyone know how it fix it?

[root@ns2 src]# service named restart
Stopping named: [FAILED]
Starting named: /bin/chown: cannot access `/var/named/run-root/var/named': No such file or directory
[FAILED]

This is a semi-known problem with FC3 and Plesk 7.5, by default installs (even via rpm manual installs).

I had to fix this problem for a client of mine, rather kind of a pain.. but I could help you fix this issue.

I offer professional installation services as well.

Contact me for details.

I have the Fix and ITS FREE

it has something to do with the new security features that FC3 installs.
All you do is touch /.autorelabel and reboot. Its gonna do some relabeling and voila~ its done.

Took me 5 hours to figure this out...hope you guys can take advantage of it.
stupid idiots trying to charge in the forums~

Hey robstarox...would you mind being a little more specific? I'm a linux newbie and have this exact problem. I'd greatly appreciate any instructions you can give. Thanks !
