Need direction or link to information on backup

I am running a SUSE/Plesk 7.5 server that we are hosting serveral sites on.

I need opinions and information I can read on a backup and data recovery plan.

I have access to plenty of network disc space to run an automated backup to.

So what I need is to backup basically the entire site including the customers sites including their mySQL databases, the basic SUSE install with all the updates and the Plesk configuration.

Obviously if we have a hardware failure I cant manually setup SUSE, install plesk and rebuild all the customers sites.

Sorry, this is a pretty newbie question, but an important one to me.
