Need help with a CRON job - total newbie here

Hello all. Super new here. I am using GoDaddy’s VDS hosting and running Plesk 10.0. My Plesk service needs to be restarted at least 2xs a day. While GoDaddy is trying to fix this, can anyone here help me create a CRON job that will
A) check the service to see if it is running
B) restart the service if needed
OR
C) just restart the service every 12 hours

I honestly have no idea where to even begin with this and any help would be very much appreciated!
