• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

Hi,

I want to install plesk on my server to test it out as im currently deciding between cpanel and plesk, plesk is cheaper and is what im currently using so easier to transfer accounts but cpanel support seems to be a bit better from what I have read although im not over keen on the design.

Anyway I have got the trial licenses sent to me and I think I will probably run this server with Debian 3.1 im just wondering what the initial setup should be? I have looked and looked but can;t find any info, for CPanel the server needs a minimum install but what about Plesk is it the same? I just wanted to check before giving it a go.

Any help would be great.

Thanks a lot
Jamie
