Question NGINX RTMP module with Plesk Obsidian

Hello everyone,

I would like to install the nginx RTMP module to my Plesk Obsidian server.

Does it pose any incompatibility or malfunction problem with the Plesk server?

Would I have to do it from the Ubuntu terminal or is there a module in Plesk to be able to install and configure it?

Thank you so much,

I'm also looking for a way to use nginx as an RTMP server with plesk.

I tried to edit the nginx.conf to add rtmp support but that's kept crashing my websites.
nginx is configured in plesk to run as a reverse proxy.

Any ideas to get this running?

You should be able to install the module (think it's apt install sw-nginx-module-rtmp but need to double check which I'm too lazy to do at the moment lol), enable it (plesk sbin nginx_modules_ctl --enable rtmp) then create a custom configuration file in /etc/nginx/modules.conf.d/ (like /etc/nginx/modules.conf.d/zzz_rtmp.conf) with whatever configurations you want.

You can find module configuration over at How to install the RTMP NGINX module in Plesk for CentOS/RHEL 7 or 8 - GetPageSpeed but that's basically the sum of it.
