Noisy banners

I'm using my own banner image on my site and I've got the dimensions from the template banner. I'm using a high quality image that is not noisy before uploading. When I upload the image it becomes very noisy/ grainy (see www.pattersonenvironmental.co.nz ). I wondered whether this was because of the quality of my image so I uploaded the original template banner image into sitebuilder and it had the same problem.

Any suggestions what I can do?

Darren,

The noise looks like over agressive compression.
I would assume the image looks fine before it is saved in a web format.

If you want you could private message me the original image and I could take a look.

If my chance sitebuilder is compressing your image, you could ftp the clean image directly on the server.
