  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

OpenSSL Connection returns default certificate instead of domain name certificate

Tradelogic C

New Pleskian
When I connect to get my certificate using

openssl s_client -connect mysite.com:443

it returns the certificate for mydefaultsite.com instead of the certificate for mysite.com.

I have commented out all of <VirtualHost _default_:443> in /etc/apache2/sites-available/default-ssl but still the same result.

If I do openssl s_client -connect mysite.com:443 -servername mysite.com it works fine, but I don't have control over that. Another site that connects to mine is the one having the problem and they apparently just use openssl s_client -connect mysite.com:443 and can't change it.

Is there anything I can do to make openssl s_client -connect mysite.com:443 recognize the correct certificate?

Hi,

where did you configure your certificate?
Within the Subscription or below Tools & Settings?

If you go to Tools & Settings and go to "IP Addresses" and click on your IP Address for this site, you should be shown a drop down box for "
SSL certificate". Try changing that.

If your certificate is not in the drop down, then you'll have to go back to "Tools & Settings" -> "Security" -> "SSL Certificates" and set it up again.

Regards,
Kristian
