• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

Resolved Password change for users in roundcube

DonCube

New Pleskian
Hello @AlL,

System:
Debian 9.12
Plesk Obisidian 18.0.23
Mail: Postfix + Dovecot
Webmail: Roundcube

i have a question. How can users change there passwords for mailservice independetely from an administrator with plesk access? In the described situation users a not Plesk users but normal people with an emailaccount on a domain. I thought this would work via the webmail. But i only get the message. Password could not be saved!

Thanks.

PS: I know how to set passwords as administrator via plesk. But it would be nice if users can change there passwords on there own.

Ok my previous search did not show that this bug is well known. Here is the solution.
