I am in the process of moving a domain over to a new name (I will keep the old domain as an alias when I delete the old name).
One of the existing email accounts on the old domain has a password that should violate the dictionary rule. The dictionary rule was, and is, turned off on the server, and Plesk allowed me to use that password when I set up the account, and will still allow me to use that password when I tested it again today for the old domain. The problem is, in the new domain, when I try to clone the email account settings, Plesk will not accept the password, and reports the following error:
Error: Unable to update the mail name properties:
The password is incorrect, use at least 5 characters. The password should not contain mail name as its part.
Only Latin characters, no dictionary words (optional).
Now as far as I can tell, the password is longer than 5 characters, the mail name is not part of it, there are no non-Latin characters, and dictionary word checking is turned off on the server. So could anyone suggest how I can figure out why Plesk will not accept the password for this user for this domain?
Version is Plesk 8.0.0 for Linux.
Thanks.
Barry
