  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Password Protected Directories & Virtual Directories

I've a password protected directory /httpdocs/aree_riservate/demouser with inside a file index.htm.
If I write the address in the browser www.mysite.it/aree_riservate/demouser/index.htm of course appear the autentication windows that ask me login and password.
But If I create a virtual directory named e.g. "riservate" connected with the physical directory /httpdocs/aree_riservate/ and I write in the browser the address www.mysite.it/riservate/demouser/index.htm I can access to the page without login and password!
Why If I pass through the virtual directory the password protected directory (that, nota bene, is "demouser" and not "aree_riservate") is not protected anymore?!

Thank you.

\Sorry for my bad english!
