Permission problem with subdomains

Hi folks,

I have a Plesk 8.0.1 on a RHEL4 (clean install) and when I create a new subdomain under a domain with a different FTP user than the parent domain I got permissions problems to access httpdocs under subdomain directory using file manager:

filemng failed: filemng: opendir failed: Permission denied

System error 13: Permission denied

Anyone can help me ?? Thanks in advice !!

This is normal as the subdomain owner is set to the ftp user (for that subdomain and not for the domain).

The file manager identify itself to the main domain user.

I think you won't be able to allow access to both subdomain and domain via the file manager unless you chmod the subdomains (and everything's in) to 777 (for write/read access to everybody).

Another think you can do: change the owner of the subdomain (chown), but then it will break the accessibility via FTP (the subdomain FTP account will not work anymore).

Hope it helps!
