PHP 4 and 5 Update

How i can update my PHP (Virtuozo)? Exist any Tutorial for that?

I want update:
- PHP 4.4.7 to latest release
- PHP 5.2.6 later to latest release

Anyone has maked it and can help with information step by step please?

Make a backup, Download the files, overwrite the previous files. Not too tough
