PHP 5.2.0 Upgrade with Mcrypt

Hi i need to upgrade my fc4 box running PLESK 8.4 to PHP 5.2 or better for use with http://www.magentocommerce.com and I need the libmcrypt installed for other uses. Has anyone done this successfully? I'm a bit of a noob at this so looking for something straight forward like an atomicrocketturtle rpm type thing but he's only got through PLESK 8.3.... unfortunately i upgraded too soon to 8.4.
