PHP not working in subdomain

Hello,

I've just created a subdomain via Plesk 8.1.1. The new subdomain is accessible, but PHP files are not being processed. Instead the unprocessed PHP code is displayed.

I did check "PHP support" when I created the subdomain. There are no htaccess files in the subdomain. There is no vhost.conf file for the subdomain. What else could be the problem?
